Rototo

Rototo was founded in 2014 by Daisuke Ishii. All of their socks are produced in Nara Prefecture, a region renowned for its sock production in Japan. They work on vintage knitting machines producing in small batches with a focus on traditional techniques mixed with modern sensibility.

Rototo Socks are made in Nara Prefecture which has been Japan's largest sock producing region since the 43rd year of the Meiji Era (1910), when a man there visited the United States to purchase a machine for sewing socks. Woven using old-fashioned sewing machines, Rototo makes "consumables that we can love for a lifetime."
